Melonfest is a festival that celebrates the music of Blind Melon. The idea for this festival was conceived by Christopher Sears. The first Melonfest occurred in Berea, Kentucky at Blackii Whyte's Barn & Grill. For the first year of a festival, it was an impressive sight to see. Friends were made, music filled the air, and for a short moment, time seemed to stand still for a field of melonheads enjoying good music & good company.

R.I.P. Travis Welch
The melonhead community lost a dear friend at the end of 2014. Travis Welch had a positive effect on the lives of those people that he knew. He was a big part of the first Melonfest, having played drums during Just Dave's set. He was full of life & energy, and he will be missed. May his spirit find rest & peace.
